The University of Queensland has established at its Ipswich Campus, UQ College Limited, a company wholly owned by The University of Queensland, providing pathway programs for students to enable entry into higher education.
THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN BUSINESS
The University of Queensland with UQ College as an agent has developed this unique Associate Degree designed to improve academic capability and develop business skills. It offers students both pathways and a stepping stone into a career in business.
The program is delivered across 4 trimesters enabling students to graduate in 16 months. Successful completion of this UQ accredited degree provides a strong standalone qualification and, upon meeting specific standards, seamless entry into the fourth semester of UQ's Bachelor of Business Management, or into programs at other Universities.
Students who successfully complete the Associate Degree in Business with a cumulative grade point average of 4 (on a 7 point scale) in their business subjects will be granted admission to the Bachelor of Business Management at UQ and will be granted 24 units of credit (or 3 semesters of full-time credit) towards that degree program.
As a UQ College student, you will study at UQ's beautiful Ipswich campus, which combines state-of-the-art learning spaces and the latest technology with hertiage architecture.
The Associate Degree in Business is accredited by The University of Queensland and students are enrolled with the University who will confer the award.
THE TERTIARY PREPARATION PROGRAM
The Tertiary Preparation Program offers a supportive educational model that builds confidence and helps students gain the necessary skills to improve their QTAC ranking for future undergraduate studies.
The program offers nine quality assured pre-university courses with a choice of electives, providing students with diverse options to customise and shape their learning plans to meet their differing pathways to future programs.
This two trimester program (2 x 14 weeks) is designed to develop students to a year 12 equivalent level.
UQ College has the experience and committment to equip you with the skills and attributes needed to go onto further university study. You will be supported by a team who understands your needs and will help you to succeed.
The University of Queensland has funded the College to deliver this program on its behalf and there are no tuition fees.
There are two intakes per year, January and May which are delivered at UQ Ipswich Campus. Acceptance into the program is via an application and interview process.

UQ College are currently looking for a pool of teachers for the Tertiary Preparation Program.
Subject areas include Pre-University:- English, Maths A & B, Business Management, Accounting, Behavioural Science, Biology, Chemistry and Economics.
Teachers must have experience in a Tertiary Preparation Program (CAPT or equivalent), Foundation Year or 12 level, hold a Bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following disciplines: - Biology, Chemistry or Behavioural Science and hold a teaching qualification and/or the TAE40110.
